Contract Details: Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $15,584,853 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development of advanced submarine technologies for current and future submarine platforms. The contract will provide for studies to support the manufacturability, maintainability, productivity, reliability, survivability, hull integrity, performance, structural stability, acoustics, hydrodynamics, ship control, logistics, and affordability of current and future submarine platforms. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by October 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $2,026,031, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
