Contract Details: BAE Systems, U.S. Combat Systems, Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded an $8,532,671 firm-fixed-price modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-09-C-4137) for manufacture and delivery of a Block III propulsor system shipset in support of the Virginia class submarine propulsor system requirements. In addition, this modification includes the purchase of required spare parts in support of the propulsor program. Work will be performed in Louisville, Ky., and is expected to be completed by May 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
