Contract Details: Broadmoor L.L.C., Metairie, La., is being awarded a $56,911,894 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of command and control hardening facility, a crash/fire/rescue station, a public works complex, hangar renovation, comprehensive utilities improvements, and a youth center at Naval Air Station, New Orleans. The contract contains two options totaling $578,331, which may be exercised within 365 calendar days, bringing the total contract amount to $57,490,225. Work will be performed in New Orleans, La., and is expected to be completed by November 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Naval Facilities Engineering Command e-solicitation website with eight proposals received in Phase I. Five proposals were solicited in Phase II.
