Contract Details: Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $9,124,902 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-04-C-2100) for the procurement of vendor services to provide three complete main propulsion shafts to be used as rotatable pool spares. The main propulsion shafts will be used to support the SSN775, SSN777, and SSN778 Extended Dry-docking Selected Restricted Availability. Work will be performed in Erie, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Apr. 2013. Contract funds in the amount of $9,124,902 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Groton, Conn., is the contracting activity.
