Contract Details: Alliant Techsystems Inc., Arden Hills, Minn., was awarded a $76,771,360 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 44,934 M831A1 TP-T 120mm cartridges and 103,466 M865 TPDCSC-T 120mm cartridges on Feb. 5, 2003. Work will be performed in Middletown, Iowa, and is to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Sept. 1, 1998, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-99-C-0020).
