Allan C. Bamforth, Jr, Engineer Surveyor, Ltd.*, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a maximum $7,500,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect/engineering (A&E) contract for A&E services in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic area of responsibility (AOR). Task order #0001, at $665,076, will provide A&E services for the construction of a child development center at Courthouse Bay, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Work for this task order is expected to be completed April 2012. All work on this contract will be performed at various Navy and Marine Corps facilities and other government facilities within the Mid-Atlantic AOR including, but not limited to: North Carolina (70 percent); Virginia (20 percent); Pennsylvania (2 percent); New Jersey (2 percent); Rhode Island (2 percent); Connecticut (2 percent); and Maine (2 percent). Work is expected to be completed by June 2015. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation Web site, with 35 proposals received.
