Boeing will reduce the risk and uncertainties associated with performing extended flight information to a sufficient level while still achieving a significant aerodynamic performance benefit. Where the risks cannot be completely mitigated, Boeing will quantify them with respect to formation type and relative positioning, enabling a trade or performance benefit versus risk and impact. Work is to be performed in Seattle, Wash. (40.64 percent); Louisville, Colo. (18.15 percent); East Hartford, Conn. (2.24 percent); El Segundo, Calif. (2.62 percent); Long Beach, Calif. (25.34 percent); and Renton, Wash. (11.01 percent), with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2012. One bid was solicited with one bid received.
