General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, Burlington, Vt., is being awarded an $11,570,655 firm-fixed-price contract for the production of Aegis gun and guided missile directors, MK82 Mod 0, and Aegis director controllers, MK 200 Mod 0. The MK 82 director serves to position the fire control system antenna to a commended and stabilized position in space for the purpose of illuminating the target. The director controller MK 200 houses the solid-state servo-amplifiers that provide the servo drive signals that position the director to the desired target position. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $29,573,068. Work will be performed in Burlington, Vt., and is expected to be completed by July 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via Federal Business Opportunities website, with two offers received.
