Alion Science and Technology Corp., Chicago, Ill., is being awarded a $10,959,332 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for non-personal modeling and simulation, information technology and engineering efforts in support of the Navy Warfare Development Command, Fleet Forces Command and its components as they relate to their mission of modeling and simulation in support of CONOP and doctrine development and coordination, SEA TRIAL coordination, experimentation, analysis and other required efforts. This contract includes four one-year options, which if exercised, bring the total estimated value of the contract to $58,160,939. Work will be performed in Newport, R.I. (50 percent); Norfolk, Va. (25 percent); San Diego, Calif. (15 percent); and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (10 percent), and work is expected to be completed by December 1007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was awarded competitively through full and open competition, with two offers received.
