General Dynamics, Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $15,426,985 firm-fixed-priced contract for preparation and accomplishment of the fiscal 2012 dry-docking continuous maintenance availability of USS Annapolis (SSN 760). The contractor will perform advance planning, design documentation, engineering and design efforts, prefabrication, and shipyard execution work necessary to prepare and accomplish maintenance and modernization work supporting USS Annapolis to return the mission ready submarine to the fleet. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (95 percent), and Quonset Point, R.I. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2012. Contract funds in the amount of $15,426,985 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-12-C-4320).
