ViaSat, Carlsbad, Calif., is being awarded a $31,467,541 firm-fixed-price delivery order under a previously awarded contract (N00039-10-D-0032) for Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio Systems. Work will be performed in Carlsbad, Calif. (47 percent); Melbourne, Fla. (15.8 percent); Gilbert, Ariz. (14.2 percent); and other sites in the United States (23 percent). Work is expected to be completed by February 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract is the result of a limited competition via the SPAWAR E-commerce website, with two solicited proposals and two offers received. The synopsis was released via the Federal Business Opportunities website. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
