Raytheon Co., Integrated Defense Systems, Tewksbury, Mass., is being awarded a $38,600,000 not-to-exceed modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-05-C-5346) for non-recurring engineering, detail design, software development, and production planning efforts required to ensure dual band radar is compatible with CVN 78-class power system interface. This contract modification dual band radar is compatible with the emergency diesel generator, the main turbine generator, and the electrical distribution system specifications of CVN 78-class power system interface. Funds in the amount of $19,300,000 are obligated at time of award. Work will be performed in Sudbury, Mass. (53 percent); Tewksbury, Mass. (29 percent); Andover, Mass. (10 percent); Dallas, Texas (6 percent); and Portsmouth, R.I. (2 percent). Work is expected to complete by April 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of this fiscal year. Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
