Alliant Techsystems Inc., Mesa, Ariz., is being awarded a $45,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for 30mm automatic weapons, spare parts, special tools/equipment and engineering support used to support testing, training, fielding and deployment of weapon systems aboard U.S. Navy littoral combat ships and amphibious transport dock ships and U.S. Air Force MC-130 aircraft. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by August 2018. Funds in the amount of $4,696,696 will be obligated at time of contract award. Fiscal 2012 other procurement, Navy funding in the amount of $1,690,811 and shipbuilding and conversion, Navy funding in the amount of $563,603, Fiscal 2013 procurement, Defense Activity funding in the amount of $2,207,447 and research, development, test and evaluation, Air Force funding in the amount of $234,835. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured.
