ViaSat Inc., Carlsbad, Calif., is being awarded $21,665,911 for firm-fixed-price delivery order #0031 under a previously awarded multiple award contract (N00039-10-D-0032) for Multifunctional Information Distribution System-Low Volume Terminals (MIDS-LVTs). The MIDS-LVT provides secure, high capacity, jam resistant, digital data and voice communications capability for U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army platforms. This delivery order combines purchases for the U.S. (47 percent), Australia (22 percent), Oman (16 percent) and Thailand (15 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Carlsbad, Calif. (30 percent) and in various other locations worldwide (70 percent), and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2015. Fiscal 2012 and 2013 Research, Development, Test & Evaluation, Fiscal 2013 Aircraft Procurement Navy, and Fiscal 2013 Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy contract funds in the amount of $21,665,911 will be obligated at the time of award, of which $980,030 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
