Raytheon Co., Integrated Defense Systems, Tewksbury, Mass., was awarded a not-to-exceed $7,203,307 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-05-C-5346) on Sept 27, 2013, for production of the hardware changes to the Dual Band Radar (DBR) and Common Array Power System, required to implement the DBR power system interface modifications to CVN 78. Work will be performed in Andover, Mass., (75 percent), and Sudbury, Mass., (25 percent) and is expected to be completed by March 2015. Fiscal 2011 shipbuilding and conversion, Navy funds in the amount of $3,601,653 were obligated at the time of the award. Contract funds will not expire at the end of this fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
