General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a $6,795,560 cost-plus-fixed-fee, level of effort contract for the operation, maintenance and protection of the floating dry dock Shippingport (ARDM 4). This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $35,334,504. Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by November 2015. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $6,795,560 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
