The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a $60,377,364 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the procurement of six low rate initial production Infrared Search and Track (IRST) systems for the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The IRST system is a long wave infrared detection system that targets airborne vehicles in a radar-denied environment. Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida (50 percent); St. Louis, Missouri (38 percent); Santa Ana, California (7 percent) and Irvine, California (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in August 2017. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to FAR.6.302-1. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $60,377,364 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N00019-15-C-0036).
