Lockheed Martin Corp., Baltimore, Maryland, is being awarded a $34,557,223 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-11-C-2300 to exercise options for class services efforts and special studies, analyses and reviews for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program. Lockheed Martin will provide engineering and design services as well as affordability efforts to reduce acquisition and lifecycle costs for the Freedom variant LCS. Work will be performed in Hampton, Virginia (32 percent); Marinette, Wisconsin (27 percent); Moorestown, New Jersey (22 percent); and Washington, District of Columbia (19 percent), and is expected to be complete by March 2016. Fiscal 2014 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $8,000,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
