Georgia Tech Research Institute, Atlanta, Georgia, has been awarded a $7,857,568 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for combustion stability modeling and design tool development. Contractor will provide development of a suite of software-based design tools for predicting and analyzing stability characteristics of combustion devices based on hydrocarbon-fueled, oxidizer-rich staged combustion rocket engine cycles. Work will be performed at Atlanta, Georgia, and is expected to be complete by April 27, 2017. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $3,928,784 are being obligated at the time of award.
