Aurora Flight Sciences Corp.,* Manassas, Virginia, has been awarded a $15,350,660 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification (P00003) to exercise the Phase II Option of previously awarded HR0011-15-C-0027 for the Aircrew Labor In-cockpit Automation System (ALIAS) program. Phase II will focus on refinement of the overall ALIAS system, risk reduction, demonstration of rapid installation time, and more in-flight demonstrations. Additionally, subsystems will be refined, and the system will be demonstrated on a third aircraft, a UH-60 rotorcraft. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $21,387,083 from $6,036,423. Work will be performed in Manassas, Virginia (67 percent); Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (32 percent); and Durham, North Carolina (1 percent), with an expected completion date of December 2016. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $10,725,928 are being obligated at time of award. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
