This is contract modification to the existing Space Based Infrared System High Component engineering, manufacturing, and development contract. This contract action primarily provides Initial Porting to Advanced IBM UNIX (AIX) Operating System. Activities consist of installing the data processing equipment requirement to establish the porting environment, changing appropriate source coding, compiling Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) initial operation (GIO) source code on AIX, and making the recompiled AIX GIO source code available to the Chlorofluorocarbons (GFC) development effort. At this time $66,000 has been obligated. SMC, Space based Infrared Systems Wing, Los Angeles Air Force Base Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-95-0017, P00445).
