General Dynamics Land Systems, Sterling Heights, Michigan, was awarded a $75,324,426 cost-plus-fixed-fee, undefinitized contract action to provide non-recurring engineering efforts for the design and integration of a 30mm cannon mounted on an unmanned, stabilized turret onto the Stryker infantry carrier vehicle platform, and the development of eight prototypes. Per requirement, these contracts are only obligated to be funded up to 50 percent and this contract has obligated $30,757,464. Work will be performed in Sterling Heights, Michigan, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 15, 2021. Bids were solicited via the Internet with one received. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation (Army) funds in the amount of $2,300,000; and fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation (Army) funds in the amount of $28,457,000, were obligated at the time of the award.
