Par Government Systems Corp., Rome, New York, has been awarded a $7,195,416 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for MediSphere software and hardware. Contractor will provide support for the MediFor program which aims to develop technologies for the automated assessment of the integrity of an image or video. The program will integrate these technologies in a visual media forensics platform that, for a given image or video, will automatically detect manipulations, provide analysts and decision makers with detailed information about the types of manipulations performed, how they were performed, and their significance in order to facilitate decisions regarding the intelligence value of the image or video. Work will be performed at Rome, New York, and is expected to be complete by June 2, 2020. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with 38 offers received. Fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $2,447,922 are being obligated at the time of award.
