Boeing Aerospace Operations, Defense, Space & Security, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been awarded an $18,031,223 modification (P00311) to the previously awarded contract FA8106-07-C-0001, for the C-32A nitrogen generation system for the C-32A aircraft. Contractor will provide for the installation of a nitrogen generation system that satisfies the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration fuel tank flammability reduction rule to reduce the risk of a center wing fuel tank explosion. Work will be performed at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2018. Fiscal 2014 aircraft procurement funds in the amount of $18,031,223 are being obligated at the time of the award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity.
