Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Amarillo, Texas, is being awarded an $8,502,872 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Phase I of the CV-22 aircraft Block 20 development and flight test effort for calendar year 2008. The contractor will perform the nonrecurring engineering and program management required to begin efforts associated with the design, development, integration and test of CV-22 Block 20 requirements, and CV-22 flight test engineering support. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (60 percent); Fort Worth, Texas (20 percent); and Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. (20 percent), and work is expected to be completed in Jun. 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-08-C-0025).
