Ohio Aerospace Institute, Brook Park, Ohio, has been awarded a $13,057,778 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development. Contractor will provide integration of fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, physics, mathematics, and computer science to computationally simulate complex flows about canonical configurations as well as real-world applications, including current and future aerospace systems, weapons systems, subsystems and components. Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be complete by Nov. 29, 2021. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with three offers received. Fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $50,000 are being obligated at the time of award.
