ATAC,* Santa Clara, California, is being awarded a maximum amount $8,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract to develop and provide upgrades to the naval aviation simulation model system at Naval and Marine Corps air installations, as well as other Department of Defense facilities, in the continental U.S. and also worldwide. The work to be performed provides for airfield, airspace and range analyses of existing and/or proposed operations at activities, and develops and compiles information on mission changes for the Navy’s Air Installations Compatible Use Zones and National Environmental Policy Act requirements. Work will be performed at various Navy and Marine Corps facilities and other government facilities predominantly in the U.S. but also worldwide. The term of the contract is not to exceed 60 months with an expected completion date of September 2021. Fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $5,000 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. No task orders are being issued at this time. Future task orders will be primarily funded by operation and maintenance (Navy) funds. This contract was procured as a sole-source acquisition under statutory author 10 U.S. Code 2304 (c)(1). The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N62470-16-D-6010).
