NAL Research Corp., Manassas, Virginia, is being awarded a $24,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for friendly forces tracking devices, evaluation and repairs. Friendly force tracking hardware is required for combat and civilian search and rescue in various environments such as desert, urban, mountain, water, and worldwide humanitarian relief to maintain awareness of the locations of friendly forces as well as providing other functions such as texting and distress signals. Work will be performed in Manassas, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by September 2021. Fiscal 2016 Army National Guard funds; and fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance (Air Force) funding in the amount of $69,150 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
