Radiance Technologies Inc., Huntsville, Alabama, has been awarded a $9,799,957 cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract for Securing The Grid. The Contractor will develop a virtual system of systems model and virtual testbed of the cyber threats related to the geographically distributed systems associated with a representative entity of the energy sector and how it relates to the resiliency of the Air Force mission. After these models are developed for both the individual components of the entity and their relationship with each of the other components in the full virtual system, work will begin in parallel to develop the corresponding techniques, tactics, and procedures for a cyber event response plan. Work will be performed at Huntsville, Alabama, and is expected to be complete by Sept. 24, 2021. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with two offers received. Fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $2,500,000 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, New York, is the contracting activity (FA8750-16-C-0290).
