Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, Portsmouth, Rhode Island, is being awarded a $27,922,297 cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N66604-15-C-086C) to exercise an option for engineering development of technology under the rapid technology insertion process for use on littoral combat ships. Under this option exercise, Raytheon will adapt and modify the technology and conduct feasibility testing, assess performance, and improve the product as proposed to successfully meet the Littoral Combat Ship Mission Module integration requirements. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and is expected to be completed by July 2018. Fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy) funding in the amount of $24,076,409 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island, is the contracting activity.
