Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded $234,043,500 for firm-fixed-priced delivery order #0007 under previously awarded contract (M67854-07-D-5025) for the purchase of 3 Special Operations Command variants, 51 Ambulance variants, and 393 Category II variants of the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. MRAP vehicles are required to increase the survivability and mobility of troops operating in hazardous fire areas against known threats such as small arms fire, improvised explosive devices, and other explosive threats. Work will be performed in York, Pa., and work is expected to be completed by November 2008. This contract was competitively procured. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.
