Boeing Co., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $10,691,574 time and materials contract modification to provide for total C-17 weapon system sustainment responsibility under a single prime contractor with the goal of achieving improvements in logistics support and mission readiness while reducing operating and support costs. Changes included in the subject represent CY03 Global Reach Improvement Program follow-on retrofit efforts for the C-17 Program. The undefinitized contracting action covers retrofit installations, which support air mobility command requirements. At this time, $5,345,787 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by July 2005. The solicitation began January 2003. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-C-2002, P00090).
