The Boeing Co., Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $7,711,464 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost plus award fee contract modification to provide for monitor and track the GPS satellite includes: a) contractor development support, b) sustainment CLS, c) level 2 software maintenance, d) depot hardware maintenance, and e) sustainment engineering support. These tasks are all accomplished under a level of effort type arrangement with priced hourly rates. Accordingly, the contract action is to purchase additional hours in order for the contractor to continue the necessary tasks without interruption. At this time, $7,711,463.95 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The negotiations were completed in March 2003. This work will be completed by December 2003. The Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0025, P00231).
