Alion Science & Technology Corp., Chicago, Ill., is being awarded a $9,186,374 indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide engineering and technical services in modeling and simulation (M&S) to support program management, systems engineering, operational M&S support, strategic planning and policy support, M&S software development, M&S IT support, logistics, and training. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $48,844,361. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., (52 percent) and Charleston, S.C., (48 percent) and is expected to be completed by July 2010. If all options are exercised, the work could continue until July 2014. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
